Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced on Thursday (29) the Brazilian national team squad for the November friendlies. Brazil will play Japan on the 14th and Singapore on the 17th, both at the National Stadium in Singapore, according to Folha.

The 26-name list has no one from Flamengo or Palmeiras, who are fighting for the Brazilian Championship title. There are, however, representatives of clubs in the relegation fight, such as André of Corinthians.

CBF national teams director Rodrigo Caetano explained the criterion. According to him, the idea was to give "fairness to the Brasileirão" and call up at most one player from each club, except for the two title contenders. Caetano said the clubs with called-up players were notified and agreed.

Also called up were Pedro Morisco (Coritiba), Arthur Dias (Athletico), Jonathan Jesus (Cruzeiro), Danilo (Botafogo) and Gabriel Bontempo (Santos). Those called up are expected to miss round 35 of the Brasileirão, scheduled for November 18.

Ancelotti said the window is unusual because of the national championship and that the relationship with the clubs is good. In his view, the national team will call the players it needs.
