American writer Cassandra Clare is preparing the conclusion of the Shadowhunters universe, which she began building in 2007 with "City of Bones," the first book of "The Mortal Instruments." Almost twenty years later, she is releasing the trilogy "The Wicked Powers," which will close the story, according to an interview with g1 published on November 3.

The opening book, "The Last King of Faerie," arrives in Brazil this Tuesday (3). The author has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide, 3 million of them in the Brazilian market. The success led to a film adaptation and inspired the series "Shadowhunters," which ran for three seasons.

In the conversation, Cassandra announced Thais, the first Brazilian character in the universe, and stressed the importance of readers in the country, whom she thanked for their loyalty over two decades.

The protagonists of the final trilogy will be Kit, Ty and Dru. The work will present two plots that will connect over the course of the narrative.

As she bids farewell to the saga, the writer is already working on other projects, such as the adult series "The Sword Bearer," and is planning another young adult fantasy series.
